Fix It February: Celebrate World Spay Day with Low-Cost Cat Surgeries!

To honor World Spay Day, we're excited to offer heavily discounted cat spay and neuter surgeries on two select Tuesdays this February! 

Tuesday, February 4th, 2025 is FULL!
Tuesday, February 25th, 2025 we have openings!

  • Cat Spays for $30.00 
  • Cat Neuters for $20.00

 Please note that all appointments must be scheduled online—no phone or in-person scheduling will be available. 

Eligibility

This special offer is available for Tier 2 clients only, specifically for owners who receive any of the following benefits:

  • Food Stamps (SNAP/LINK) 
  • Social Security Disability (SSD/SSI)
  • VA Disability Benefits 

We will require proof of your benefits, along with a photo ID, prior to your pet's appointment. 

If you’re looking to schedule an appointment for your cat but don’t qualify as a Tier 2 client, or if spots fill up quickly, please remember that we offer low-cost spay/neuter services year-round. Additional appointment scheduling for Tier 2 clients and anyone (Tier One or Tier Two) wishing to schedule an appointment for their dog will open on Friday, December 6, at 9:00 AM: QCAWC Spay/Neuter Program.

Requirements

  • A maximum of two cats per household is allowed. 
  • Ferals cats are required to be brought in a trap. Ear tips will be performed per owner request.
  • If your cat is not up to date on their rabies vaccine, a $5 rabies vaccine will be required on the day of surgery.
  • If live fleas are found, a Capstar will be administered for an additional $6. 
  • Topical Flea and Tick Prevention is available by owner request for $18. 
  • No additional services (e.g., additional vaccines, diagnostic testing, nail trims) will be offered during Fix It February. 
  • Cats are required arrive to their appointment in a carrier. Please call our clinic at 309-787-6830 Option #2 if you need to purchase a cardboard carrier at least one week in advance. 
  • Cats with underlying medical conditions (illness, injury, medication, etc.) will be declined. 
  • Cryptorchid cats (with undescended testicles) will not be accepted. 

Fix It February Drop-Off and Pick-Up Details

Curbside Drop-Off: Pull up to the designated curbside drop-off area and remain in your vehicle with the engine running. Please wait in line until it is your turn. When you reach the front of the line, a member of our team will come to your car to collect your cat(s) and any necessary paperwork or information. For safety and efficiency, please stay inside your vehicle throughout the drop-off process. 

  • Time: 6:30 AM - 7:30 AM - Important: All clients must arrive before 7:30 AM. Late arrivals will not be accepted. 
  • Location: QCAWC Spay/Neuter & Wellness Clinic 612 1st Street West Milan, IL.

Curbside Pick-Up: Pull up to the designated curbside pick-up area and remain in your vehicle with the engine running. Please wait in line until it is your turn. When you reach the front of the line, a member of our team will bring your cat(s) to you along with any necessary instructions. 

  • Time: 3:00 PM - 4:00 PM - Late pick-ups will not be allowed. Please make sure to arrive on time.

Our goal is to make the process as safe and convenient as possible for both you and your pets. Thank you for following these guidelines!

How to Schedule

Online scheduling only, starting at 9:00 AM on Monday, December 2, 2024. Be sure to book early, as spots are limited! 

Please note the following scheduling and payment information:

  • Appointment confirmation: If you have not received confirmation from us within 48 business hours, please be sure to check your email spam folder. Email us at clinic@qcawc.org if you do not find the confirmation. 
  • Consent Form: A consent form will be attached to your pet’s appointment confirmation. Please sign this form and submit this at least 24 hours prior to your pet’s appointment. AVOID the "Guide Me" button that pops up. It will clear the fields and send us back a blank document. 
  • Deposit: We require a $10 non-refundable deposit to hold your pet’s appointment. 
  • Payment: Payment is expected in full on the day of your pet’s appointment. You will get an email between the hours of Noon – 2:00 pm with balance due. You can either pay the balance online at that time or pay when you pick up your pet. Please note additional charges may apply should your pet need nausea medication or other services recommended by our veterinarian.  
  • Appointment Reminder: You will receive an appointment reminder via text 72 hours prior to your pet’s appointment. You MUST respond and confirm your appointment, or your appointment will be cancelled, and your deposit will be forfeited.
