Releasing an Animal

Quad City Animal Welfare Center accepts pets into our care by appointment. Due to having limited space, we need to make sure we have an available cage or kennel before accepting an animal.

Please call us at (309) 787-6830 ext. 10 if you want to share your pet’s information with us for the pet to possibly come to QCAWC.

We encourage you to also see if any friends or family members might be interested in taking in your pet, especially if you need to find a new place for your animal immediately.

QCAWC offers services to the community to try to keep pets in their home – if there is some way we might be able to help you, don’t be afraid to ask!

Unfortunately, we do not have temporary foster homes available but we can offer advice for any problems you are experiencing, suggestions for pet-friendly rentals, and supplies through our Pet Food Pantry.

We are a private no-kill shelter and do not charge a surrender fee, but donations towards an animal’s care are always appreciated.
