Spay/Neuter Surgeon

The Quad City Animal Welfare Center (QCAWC) has an opening for part-time (two days/week) or full-time (four days/week) experienced surgeon. The QCAWC helps pet owners, rescue organizations, and other shelters by providing high quality, spay neuter surgeries for dogs and cats. We have excellent and dedicated team who are passionate about helping animals, skilled at their jobs and a lot of fun to work with.

The successful candidate will have, or be able to obtain, an Illinois license, and live in, or move to, the Quad Cities area. Responsibilities include completing surgeries, conducting pre and post-op exams, assisting with supervising and teaching veterinary assistants, and evaluating protocols. Wellness clinics and shelter medicine are also possibilities. This job is ideal for someone who wants to make a big difference helping animals, enjoys surgery and appreciates a lot of free time to lead a balanced life.

Salary is commensurate with experience.  An insurance stipend and other benefits are also available for the full-time position.
