Job Opportunities:
Part Time Veterinarian Opportunity
Quad City Animal Welfare Center
Veterinarians play an incredible role in protecting the health and well-being of animals while supporting the people who love them. At the Quad City Animal Welfare Center, we deeply appreciate the compassion, knowledge, and dedication that veterinary professionals bring to their work each day.
We are currently seeking a part time veterinarian to assist with medical care for animals at our Adoption and Education Center and Spay Neuter and Wellness Clinic in Milan, Illinois. This position offers a meaningful opportunity to make a direct impact on the lives of homeless animals while working alongside a team that is passionate about animal welfare.
Our organization is a private nonprofit humane society that cares for thousands of animals each year. Many of the pets who arrive at our shelter need medical attention before they can begin the next chapter of their lives in loving homes. This role helps ensure that every animal receives compassionate and high quality veterinary care while they are with us.
Responsibilities may include:
• Performing routine wellness and intake examinations
• Administering vaccinations and preventative care
• Diagnosing medical conditions and concerns
• Developing treatment plans for animals in our care
• Providing guidance to staff regarding animal health and welfare
This position is ideal for a veterinarian who enjoys helping shelter animals, values community impact, and is interested in contributing their skills in a flexible part time role. It also offers the opportunity to earn additional income while making a meaningful difference for animals who need care and compassion the most.
Every exam, diagnosis, and treatment helps give a homeless pet a better chance at a healthy future and a loving family.
If you are interested in learning more about this opportunity, or if you know a veterinarian who may be a good fit, we would love to hear from you.
