Hi… my name is Stevie

I’m writing this with a very brave heart, hoping it reaches the person who’s meant to be mine.

I’m only 3 years old, but I’ve already been through more than most cats my age. I came to the shelter as an itty-bitty kitten a couple years ago, and for a long time, no one quite knew why my little body struggled the way it did. After a long road, I was finally diagnosed with Lupus, and my humans at the shelter made a plan to keep me healthy. My daily medications aren’t optional. They’re what keep me feeling okay, able to enjoy life, and alive.

Recently, things got really hard again. I lost my home and had two major surgeries, one right after the other, and I lost both of my eyes. I’m completely blind now. I won’t lie… this was all very scary. But I’m learning. I’m adapting. I’m finding my way again, step by step, with the help of people who love me and believe in me. My foster mom says I’m like a little roomba at first, but once I know the layout of the home I thrive!

Even after everything, I’m still me. Gentle. Loving. Full of affection. I don’t hold onto the pain, I just want to give love and feel safe.

I’m part of the Forever Foster Program, which means you provide the cozy home, the rides to appointments, and the daily care I need. My shelter family will always have my back by covering my medical care and prescriptions. What I need most is someone consistent, dedicated, and kind, someone who will never give up on me and will love me exactly as I am.

I’ve been through so much, and when I came back to the shelter in rough shape, my people’s hearts broke. But they didn’t give up on me, and neither did I. Now I’m on the path to healing again, and I just need someone willing to walk that path with me.

I may not see you… but I promise I’ll feel you. Your voice. Your touch. Your love.

I hold a very special place in their hearts here at the shelter and I know I could hold one in yours, too.

I’m currently in a foster home and available to meet by appointment only. An approved application is the first step. So, if you think you might be my person, please email cameron@qcawc.org to learn more about meeting me.

Love always,

Stevie

P.S. If I'm not the right match for you, please share my post to help this reach my purrfect match!
