Be Kind to Animals Week

Since 1977, the Quad City Animal Welfare Center has cared for and found loving homes for thousands of animals. More than 1,000 animals were placed into new and loving homes last year, and 3,000 cats and dogs were cared for in our new spay/neuter clinic.

All of this was made possible by the generous support of our friends and our community. Operating the shelter is costly, averaging about $2,000 each day. We must rely on the support of our community as we receive no governmental funding.

With your help, our success continues to grow and our adoption rate continues to increase. We continue to make great strides with our spay and neuter efforts, which will lead us ultimately to a no-kill community.

Help us celebrate our animals and the joy that they bring to our lives. When you have a moment, please reflect and appreciate an animal that has touched your life, and consider donating in their honor.

You can donate online below, or through a printable form.

Your donation will help animals like Ghost.

Ghost, a beautiful male gray cat, had possibly been attacked by another animal and had a huge wound under a front leg.

He required intravenous fluids and antibiotics. He has since healed and was adopted in April!
