Meet George – Now Accepting Applications

Born on 11/1/2021, George is a handsome German Shepherd mix who is ready to find a forever home where he can truly thrive. Once he feels comfortable, George’s personality really shines. He is a happy, goofy, fun-loving dog with a zest for life and plenty of enthusiasm to share.

George has a lot of energy and will need daily exercise, mental enrichment, and continued training. An active, breed-savvy adopter who understands German Shepherds would be an ideal match. Because of his excitement and energy level, George is looking for an adult-only home (18+) where he can focus on building structure and confidence.

He enjoys playing with other dogs and would do well in a home with canine companions he can learn from and play with. George has reportedly done well with cats in the past, though slow and thoughtful introductions are very important. Chickens, however, are not a good fit for him. Dog-to-dog meet-and-greets are required prior to adoption to ensure everyone is set up for success.

George is fixed, up to date on all vaccines, and currently thriving in a loving foster home while he waits for his forever family. He is available to be seen by appointment only. Approved adopters will be invited to schedule a meet-and-greet, with appointments scheduled around holiday hours.
