Meet Reuben... and yes, just like the sandwich, he comes with a little sauerkraut. 

At 8 years old, Reuben's whole world has been turned upside down. Through no fault of his own, he found himself in the shelter, trying to make sense of a life that changed overnight.

Some days, he's a little... sour. Kind of like the sauerkraut on a Reuben sandwich.

Everything familiar is gone, and that's a lot for any pet—especially a senior—to process. But underneath that grumpy first impression is a cat who's simply looking for someone patient enough to let him settle in and remember what it feels like to be loved.
