Vax & Wags Free Vaccine Clinic for Dogs

Vax & Wags will provide 200 free rabies vaccines and 200 free distemper/parvo vaccines for dogs. Vaccines will be available on a first come, first served basis while supplies last.
The event is made possible through a community partnership involving the Quad City Animal Welfare Center, Humane Society of Scott County, St. Anthony Catholic Church, and St. John Vianney Catholic Church.
In addition to the free vaccine clinic, St. Anthony Catholic Church will hold its Blessing of the Animals beginning at 10:00 AM, giving families an opportunity to celebrate the special bond they share with their pets.
“Our goal is to make basic veterinary care more accessible to families in our community,” said Patti McRae, Executive Director of the Quad City Animal Welfare Center. “Vaccinations are such an important part of keeping pets healthy, and events like Vax & Wags allow us to remove some of the financial barriers families may face. We are incredibly grateful to everyone who is giving their time, resources, and support to make this event possible.”
For the safety of the dogs, pet owners, veterinary teams, and volunteers, all dogs must be on a secure leash. Retractable leashes will not be permitted. Owners are asked to keep their dogs under control at all times while waiting for services.
The QCAWC Mobile Vet Van will be onsite to assist with veterinary services, along with veterinarians, veterinary team members, and volunteers who are generously donating their time to serve pets and families throughout the community.
Vax & Wags is about more than vaccines. It is about local organizations coming together to make veterinary care more accessible, help prevent disease, and give pet owners additional resources to keep their dogs healthy and at home with the families who love them.
