Meet Trixie — A Little Lady With a Heart of Gold!

Looking for a sweet little companion who will steal your heart? Meet Trixie! This adorable Schnauzer mix was born on August 21, 2016, and weighs just around 18 pounds. She may be a senior girl, but don’t let that fool you! Trixie still has plenty of life in her and SO much love to give.

Trixie has faced a few challenges, but this little lady is one tough cookie! Due to a previous injury, she is unable to bear weight on one of her legs, but she has adapted incredibly well and isn't letting it define her. She has adjusted to her situation beautifully and shows us just how resilient and special she is.

Trixie is also heartworm positive and has a customized treatment plan in place to give her the best possible outcome. Her future family will need to be committed to following her treatment plan and activity restrictions, as heartworm disease can be fatal if left untreated. The good news is that Trixie is doing well, and we're hopeful for her journey ahead!

This precious girl deserves a family who will look past her challenges and see the loving, wonderful companion she truly is. She still has so much life to live, so many cozy days to enjoy, and so much love to share with the lucky person who gives her a chance.
