About Me

Birthdate: 11 years old

Corey is in need of a committed, loving home. This gorgeous girl has had at least half a dozen homes in her 11 years. In January of this year, she was found taped in a box in the road. Amazingly, she was uninjured. Our hearts were broken that something so horrible could happen to her.

Corey is also on a pain medication, Gabapentin, due to pain from a four-declaw surgery in her past. Please see the comments for a photo of her x-ray showing how her feet look. Despite all she has been through, though, Corey is an affectionate, talkative kitty who just needs love.

Corey does not like being picked up but loves getting petted and hanging out with her people. She did live with another kitty in the past, so could likely have a feline friend if you do a slow introduction. This amazing cat deserves a much better life than the one she has had.

Corey's adoption fee has been sponsored by a generous donor!

Could you be her hero? Please come and meet Corey and see if she is the cat for you. We promise you she is 100% worth it. All of our kitties are spayed/neutered, up to date on vaccinations, and microchipped. We will send her home with Gabapentin to get you started.

The Quad City Animal Welfare Center's Adoption & Education Center is located at 724 2nd Avenue W. in Milan, IL. We are open Monday-Saturday noon to 5 p.m., extended hours until 6 p.m. on Wednesdays, and closed on Sundays.
