About Me

Birthdate: 2 years old

Taz is an amazing pit bull mix who is a great dog! He needs a home without kitties but he gets along with some dogs and all people!

He has had some basic training and while he is here we will continue to improve his skills with the help of staff and our great volunteers.

We had to treat him for heartworm disease, so you might notice a shaved patch on his back.

Heartworm disease is easily prevented with a monthly pill that can be purchased from your vet or our Wellness Clinic once your dog has a negative test for it, but it is expensive and hard on dogs to treat them for it. Prevention is a much better route for you and your best friend!

Due to heartworm disease, Taz has some activity restrictions for the next month, but he is still up for meeting you, especially if you think he might be the dog for you! Want to visit?

The Quad City Animal Welfare Center's Adoption & Education Center is located at 724 2nd Avenue W. in Milan, IL. We are open Monday-Saturday noon to 5 p.m., extended hours until 6 p.m. on Wednesdays, and closed on Sundays.

QCAWC has been saving animals one life at a time since 1977!
